In late February my mom and I took a trip to Shanghai. We had an extended stay of a little over two weeks and it was great. We finalized the setup of my mom's new apartment and it was very exciting. The building looked good and the location is GREAT.
We spent some time visiting with my Uncle Danny and Auntie Jennifer. They both looked wonderful and it was nice to see them again--since the last time was in 1998!!
I love Shanghai's Xin Tian Di district and I am really happy that the new apartment is within walking distance. When Xin Tian Di is completed, it will literally end right across the street from our complex!
My friend Renee happened to be in Shanghai at the same time so we got together on the Friday night before we flew out (on the same flight!). We had tang yuan and did some shopping.
Shanghai is growing growing growing. The World Expo of 2010 will be hosted in Shanghai, and the city is already making preparations. Hopefully I'll be able to go back many times before then..
